  • Research interest:

Interactions between heavy metals and aquatic (cyanobacteria, algae) as well as terrestrial (fungi, lichens) microorganisms; heavy metal bioavailability, bioaccumulation, toxicity. Species richness and diversity of algae and lichens in heavy metal polluted habitats. Mechanisms of heavy metal detoxification and tolerance.

Cyanobacterial blooms and cyanotoxin production in surface waters (lakes and dam reservoirs).
