2000 MSc. Degree, Faculty of Biology, Warsaw University, supervisor Prof. Ewa Pieczyńska.

2005 Ph.D. Degree, Faculty of Biology, Warsaw University, supervisor Prof. Janusz Uchmański

  • Research interest:

Evolutionary biology. Evolution of reproductive strategies. Evolutionary and ecological consequences of asexual reproduction without the involvement of gametes. Effect of asexual reproduction proceeding maturation on sex ratio and reproductive strategies in animals that are able to reproduce both asexually and sexually. Conditions favouring evolution of hermaphroditic vs. gonochoric mode of reproduction in animals.
Predator-prey interactions. Defence mechanisms in prey, the role of increased reproduction effort. Sublethal predation. Mathematical modelling: individual-based approach.
